Burglars beware: ACT's CSI agents on case
17.05.12
Every touch leaves a trace, and every crime leaves a hidden story, told in blood, sweat, hair and fingerprints.
It's just after 3pm at a nondescript home on a sleepy suburban street in Monash.
Just over an hour before, the neighbourhood's quiet was disturbed by the shrieking of a home security alarm.
At least one, possibly two women had broken through a back window leading into the study, before grabbing a laptop and fleeing.
But as they drove from the scene, the burglars left behind a bounty of unseen evidence, a series of invisible traces which served to chronicle their crime.
Shortly after the police have left, a single crime scene investigator arrives in a blue jumpsuit, a camera slung across his shoulder, and a carry-case filled with powders, brushes and forensic tools.
