Investors Chronicle goes mobile

It's always nice to tie up loose ends for Christmas, so getting our new iPhone app into the iTunes App Store is a very welcome early gift for me. You can download it here , for free.
IT projects aren't always that easy to get right, so we're rather pleased with the results of our endeavours on this project. We wanted to create something that was a little bit more than a run-of-the-mill standard share price price lookup tool, and I think we've been successful.
As well as letting you access the latest prices on all UK stocks, and keeping tabs on the day's big movers, we've built in company tearsheets that let you drill down into more detail and look up the latest IC View and commentaries on all the companies we write about. The app lets you build watchlists to keep track of the shares that matter most to you (you'll need to register to do this, but existing IC website users can use their existing login details), and also see what other users are most interested in. There's a markets data page, too, giving you up to date and historical pricing on an extensive range of indices, currencies and commodities, essential stuff for the growing legion of ETF investors out there. And although we can't let you read everything we publish on our site (we're a business after all, and have plenty of bills to pay!) we have provided a broad selection of free analysis on wider trends from some of our best writers, including economics views from Chris Dillow and personal finance advice from Moira O'Neill.
