does a SIPP investment in real estate have to be 100% paid for or can a deposit be paid with the rest borrowed

Laws changed on 6th April 2006 ("A Day") so check with your SIPP provider.

I believe you can borrow up to a maximum of 50% of the SIPP value (so if the SIPP is worth 100k, you can borrow a max of 50k) if you are directly purchasing
